Sosan Madanat joined the Foundation for Democracy and Justice shortly after receiving her J.D. with a certificate in public law and policy from the McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, leaving at the end of 2017. While attending law school, she externed for the Federal Defender’s Office of Sacramento, state Senator Noreen Evans’ office and the Governor’s Office of Legal Affairs. She also was executive director of the Public Legal Services Society, the largest public interest student organization on the McGeorge campus. She majored in philosophy and language studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
